Warts and verrucas
Warts and verrucas are caused by a virus called human papilloma. They can spread due to coming in contact with contaminated surfaces or through skin contact.
Warts appear on your hands or on your fingers. They do not cause any harm, but can cause itchiness and can take up to months to heal on its own. You will be able to notice warts as they are usually lumps that feel firm and rough.
You will be able to differentiate them as verrucas only appear on the feet and are infectious. They are white rings found on your foot with small black dots under the tough skin. As this is infectious, this can be passed on from one person to another. Numerous treatments are available to control and treat warts and kill the virus that causes verrucas.
