RT-PCR Test Booking Process In Simple Steps:
Product Information:
A PCR test is used to detect the virus’s genetic material in your body. This test is used to diagnose the active coronavirus infection. By detecting the presence of viral RNA, the test can tell whether or not the person has contacted the virus very early on. This test is usually highly accurate and does not need to be repeated. It is done through a nasal and throat swab sample.
Our pioneering test for COVID-19 utilises PCR (polymerase chain reaction) to accurately and reliably diagnose COVID-19, thus facilitating appropriate containment and reducing further spread of disease.
What is a RT-PCR Test with Test To Release Certification?
IQ Doctors in collaboration with our lab are an approved provider for the Test to Release for International Travel scheme, which is in place by the Government for people who need to self-isolate on arrival in England. Under this scheme, you can reduce the period of your self-isolation upon returning to England after being tested negative.
The earliest you can take the test is 5 full days after you were last in a place that is not on the travel corridor list. For most international arrivals this will be on your 5th full day of self-isolation. The scheme is voluntary and applies to those self-isolating in England only.
A certificate is included in this kit which states your details, date of arrival in England and your test results among other details. Once you are tested negative, this certificate can be used to release from self-isolation.
