What is Famciclovir?
Famciclovir is an antiviral medication. The use of famciclovir reduces the intensity and duration of these outbreaks. It promotes faster healing of blisters, prevents new blisters from forming, and reduces pain and itching.
How to Take Famciclovir?
A dosage of one tablet twice a day for five days is suggested for treating genital herpes.
Taking Famciclovir can be done with or without food or water; the tablet is meant to be taken by mouth.
Side Effects of Famciclovir
As with any medication, side effects may occur with some patients.
