Mouth Ulcer
Ulcers are sores that appear inside the mouth and are painful. They are typically red or yellow in colour. They are not the same as cold sores, which appear on the outside of the lips and are caused by a virus. A single mouth ulcer is usually caused by damage caused by biting the cheek or tongue, or by sharp teeth, brushing, or ill-fitting dentures. The ulcer can be very painful.
