Infacol
Infacol is used to help soothe the symptoms of colic, the active ingredient simethicone is an anti foaming agent that works locally in the gut by breaking down small bubbles of gas creating large bubbles which become easier to pass.not only is Infacol colorant free, sugar free and alcohol free it has a natural orange flavor making it more palatable when administering to children.
How to Take Infacol?
0.5ml of Infacol should be given to babies prior to each feed and this can be administered through the handy dropper provided in the lid. If after 3 or 4 days your baby still suffers from trapped wind the dose can be increased to 2 droppers full particularly in the evening before the night feed. If however the symptoms do not settle please contact your primary health care provider for more information regarding possible treatment options.
Side Effects and Precautions
Infacol does not have any current known side effects.
However with any treatment, children may experience possible allergic reactions to certain ingredients.
If you notice any allergic reactions such as swelling around the face or mouth, difficulty in breathing, itchiness or redness of the skin, contact your doctor immediately and do not continue using Infacol.
