Co lactase
Co lactase is an enzyme that can be added to either expressed breast milk or formula milk prior to feeding your baby to help break down lactose, the sugar present in milk. The underdevelopment of a newborn's digestive system means they may find it difficult to break down lactose into smaller sugars themselves; this enzyme drop can be added to their milk to help aid this process.
How to Use Co lactase
Co lactase can be added to milk from birth onward, if you breastfeed your child simply express a few tablespoon in to a sterilized container and add 4 drops of Co lactase to the milk, feed this to you baby using a syringe or spoon once administered continue feeding as normal. With regards to expressed breast milk or formula milk add 4 drops to the milk when it is at drinking temperature do not add to hot milk shake and feed as normal.
Side Effects
The use of Co lactase can cause an allergic reaction if this does occur seek medical attention immediately. Co lactase is generally received very well and has few reported side effects, however if your child experiences any side effects whilst taking this medication get medical attention immediately
