What is Germoloids Cream?

Germoloids Cream is a treatment used to relieve the symptoms of internal and external piles (haemorrhoids) and anal itching.

It contains zinc oxide 6.6% w/w and lidocaine hydrochloride 0.7% w/w. Zinc oxide helps soothe, protect, and shrink swelling, while lidocaine is a local anaesthetic that helps relieve pain, soreness, and itching.

Germoloids Cream can help with:

  • Pain and soreness from piles
  • Swelling and irritation around the anus
  • Itching associated with piles
  • Discomfort from internal or external haemorrhoids

Who is Germoloids Cream suitable for

This product is available without a prescription. If you are unsure, speak to a pharmacist.

Germoloids Cream is suitable for:

  • Adults
  • Children aged 12 years and over
  • People with internal or external piles, or anal itching

This is not suitable for:

  • Children under 12 years unless directed by a doctor
  • Anyone allergic to zinc oxide, lidocaine, or any of the other ingredients
  • People with severe or persistent piles, or excessive bleeding, without medical advice

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, speak to your doctor or pharmacist before use.

How to use Germoloids Cream

Use exactly as directed on the label or as advised by your pharmacist.

Typical use:

  • Wash your hands before and after using the cream
  • Apply the cream at least twice a day
  • Leave at least 3 to 4 hours between applications
  • Further applications can be used during the day if needed
  • Germoloids Cream is recommended to be used after a bowel movement.
  • Do not use more than 4 times in 24 hours

For external piles:

  • Apply the cream directly to the affected area

For internal piles:

  • Gently insert the applicator into the anal opening
  • Squeeze a small amount of cream into the rectum
  • Clean the applicator after use

How to store Germoloids Cream

  • Do not store above 25°C
  • Keep the cream in its original carton
  • Keep out of the sight and reach of children
  • Do not use after the expiry date

Blog

  • Increased local irritation
  • Burning sensations at the site of application
  • Skin rash

Stop using and seek medical advice urgently if:

  • You develop signs of an allergic reaction
